WE HAVE THE SAME MODEL CAMERA ( little bit different age wise.. i believe, i have a 3500) however, it's a great model. i love it.

Hey Lori, congrats on your DSLR submission :). The shot definitely fits the theme a lot, it works great. I think if you just put some light on the background as well, it would work even better. Just a tiny little bit gray, not full black - to give the photo some context. The camera shake/focus you noticed yourself, I'm guessing it's not easy to hit hand-held pic in darkness, but keep at it. Anyway, looking forwrard to seeing more camera photos!
