“ Hope ”
To me, each sunrise brings the promise of hope for the new day ahead. When I look out over the water and see the vastness of the ocean coupled with the start of a new opportunity, it encourages me to choose hopefulness at all the possibilities life has to offer.

Good technique, the water is sharp, the tree sillhouetes well defined, the colors look good. To improve, maybe catch a little bit more of the foreground, and if it included another small sillhouette, it would bring a bit more of the emotional story. So add a flower or a rock sillhouette in foreground, and then the eye has a focus point to reinforce the feeling. To me personally, this mostly invokes nostalgia notes, so you're also good and on topic, even if it is explicit. Great job, and particularly nice colors!

It’s beautiful, Lori! Nice take on the challenge. The sunrise is stunning, and indeed, hopeful. New morning, new mercies!
