This is the SOOC and you can see I set up the Banana with toothpicks, which is a fickle work I'm not made for 😅 I took the photo in a shaded place outside to have good, strong light, as I was actually not using a tripod for once.
Import into LR and from there immediately into PS because I had to remove the toothpicks and background first of all.
What remains is the banana and the pieces. Then colour correction and white balance in Camera Raw, also clarity, structure and whatever makes sense. Then double layer. The lower one becames the shadow layer, onto which I loaded a solid colour layer in about 75% grey and blurred it a good deal. That layer then got positioned so that it looks like the actual shadows.
The background is a combination of a radial gradient with the center just behind the banana and a solid layer of the same colour as the outside colour of the radial gradient, then at about 70% opacity. In between I did some cleaning up and some adjusting with highlights and textures until it all went well. Thanks for my minigroup for all the help, by the way! Slapped on a LUT for harmonzing and that's that.

I love the anthropomorphism of this shot Laney. I also really love the yellow-on-yellow colour palette, and this is something I would like to try for myself. Nicely done!
