“ Moody Pastry ”
I wanted moody. I wanted simple. So here you go ;-) At the start of the year I found this silver tray at a flea market and have been waiting for an opportunity to show it off. I didn't really think it worked with this week's theme but - alas! - it did. What I personally like most about this is ...

Anyhow, this is the BTS. It's not that hard, as you can see. Simple setup with my black board as the floor and a black cloth as the background (I need to make more boards). This setup was used for each of the photos.
As daylight was fading I had to use my lights with a diffusor from the right. To the left I used black cardboard, but to fill in the shadows, I placed a white reflector opposite the lights. To 'mold' the light I used another piece of black cardboard on the right, which directs the light to where I want it. With shots like these the shutter speed doesn't matter at all, so you can go pretty high and use a low ISO and the right aperture that fits your theme instead.

This is the clear winner for me! And is also one of my favourites for the album. I love the simplicity and elegance. Great work, Laney.
