This (in b/w) was my original idea. I wanted to create a minimalist Christmas Card because I wanted to get out a messge, which I think is important here, too. With all the festivities going on around this time of year, let's not forget those who cannot partake in them. Last year a local photograper hanged himself the night before New Year's Eve. The year before that another local photographer also hanged himself on New Year's Eve. I'm frankly dreading New Year's Eve this year. Maybe an impromptu invitation, a surpring phone call, reaching out to someone we haven't heard of for a while could save a life...

Another contender: my one and only Halloween pumpkin. I grew it in my garden, it's a sparkling white variety, but a lot smaller than I had anticipated. As my garden was terribly neglected this year I only got one and it's still sitting in my living room, looking nice. I keep looking at it and wanting to shoot it. I have another idea in mind. Maybe for the redo, we'll see.
