I stuck with the fisheye lens again this week, taking advantage of the opposite distortion effect than the one used last week; this time I wanted Extreme Closeup Distortion.

    BTS... I knew before setting up the shot I would be replacing the background.  The circular framing of a fisheye is not what I was looking for.  I also chose to remove myself from the old trunk I was posing on, and place myself directly on the floor.  When compositing to the background, I added shadows to anchor my feet to the floor and blend with the surrounding.  The lighting was straight forward, just an off-camera flash in an 18 inch octobox again, set to camera left.

    The fisheye creates the most incredible distortion here. Love it! I might have cropped ever so slightly on the left to remove that clutter as it draws my eye. Overall… more
