“ It's a Toss Up ”
Usually the goal with treat catching photos is to get a super sharp, crisp, focus to freeze the motion and capture those goofy expressions. SO this week I thought it would be fun to toy with capturing the motion of the catch instead of the frozen instant. It was definitely a lot of experimenting ...

Very cool! I tried exactly this for a "Slow Shutter" with EC "Rear Curtain Sync" quite a while ago with Chili. On most of them the eyes had funny looking stripes towards them. I think in your image there's a lot of motion visible without loosing the detail. Which is really cool. I think the rear shutter sync is really important to get this kind of result. The gostly look but still some detail. Now I want to play with that again soon!

Great image! I'm always in awe of how creative you can be with a studio setup.
