    It is tough to see charm being replaced by efficiency (and sometimes its not even that efficient).

    Your photo reminds me of a common sign seen in the fall at my son's university- "Don't look at the arc!" They do a huge Homecoming celebration, and the Greek houses weld together huge frames for decoration. The signs are to remind the college students to not damage their unprotected eyes. Its a bit of a running joke at this point lol.
