Hello from Canmore, Alberta, Canada.
Living in a valley means that the sky is blue long before we can see the sun.
When the first ray of sunshine reach the mountaintops they seem to radiate, or glow, and this is what we call alpenglow.
This mountain range on the west side of town ...

I like your inclusion of the town, an equally wonderful shot might have been just the mountains.
