“ Royal Hawaiian ”

Out in Wildwood, NJ there are many amazing examples of vintage neon signs. The Royal Hawaiian is among my favorites I felt that playing with the lights and shadows gave it a cinematic feel like a location establishing shot before it all goes down at The Royal Hawaiian.

Love the composition and lighting.

The sweep of the building with its white lighting leads the eye to the bright red on the end wall.

A tweak to the crop would banish the superfluous white lights on the right, which draw the eye…but then also give context.
