“ Fallen Ash ”

I forgot to take out my camera this week, but I managed to quickly get in something for the challenge from my phone. This is a trio of leaves from an ash on the ground. I don't know why I find such mundane things as blacktop texture so interesting.

There is a nice contrast between the soft yellow of the leaf and the harder texture of the black asphalt. I like the way the sunlight plays with the scene as well.
