“ On the rocks ”

I chose this scene of river rocks, shot from above on a bridge, because the b&w brings out the contrasting textures of the soft water, crackling ice, and jagged rocks.

This sort of scene works well in black and white. I like the texture and shapes of the rocks in the ice, and contrast well with the black water.
