“ Pie-Server Landing ”

This Cicada was waiting for me on the back steps. I bought her in and placed her on my wooden pie server on textured paper. I then shined a flashlight toward her eyes and took the picture. In Photoshop I added a sky of sorts and cropped.

Personally I find the sky effect distracting, Maria, as the rest of your shot feels so natural and organic. Terrific detail, great idea for lighting her eyes
