“ Subtle Gold ”

Many of the artwork in our house are painted by people we know and love.
This painting has a gorgeous streak of gold leaf that from far away looks static and even.
Little do you know, until you get in close and look at the details, do you realise how 3D the artwork becomes.

Interesting image. When I go to galleries, I always like to look at the sides of the paintings as well as the front to see the different layers that make up the whole.
