“ Simple but Functional ”
This wheel is on an old circa late 1800s buckboard wagon at a local historical marker in town. Old rusty iron and weathered wood make a favorite combination for my eyes, but the symmetry of the spokes drew me in along with all the textures in the hub. Simple but functional in design.

    This has a touch of abstract to it. I can also see the crown from the Statue of Liberty, or the center of a spider web. Without seeing the rim of the wheel, it could be part of almost anything: a vehicle, machinery, or the center of a spool of thread. What a fun game!
