“ Closed for the Season ”
This yellow jacket nest was 3-4 times bigger and very busy this summer. Located in the crotch of a tree about 4 ft above ground, we kept our distance. Fall weather has slowly dissolved it to what remains here.

    ......yikes!  I'm glad it's empty.
    As a photo, you have wonderful details and lots of different textures. I like the bright green moss and the shredded bark, making a soft scene. The honeycomb shape of the nest is soothing (if it weren't filled with stinging EVIL!!!)
