    So glad you’re back! And love this because your POV allows me to interpret the mat as a colorful and complex path to the past. I kind see it as representing the rich and vibrant Jewish life in Central and Eastern Europe that allowed such beautiful shuls to be built. And of course, the shadow for the loss. Just my opinion, but I find this very touching.
