My teenage daughter is trying to make a different recipe a month. This was prawns with capers, chillies and lemon. She was happy how it looked but didn’t like the taste. My wife and son enjoyed it a lot.

    Really great Darragh. The colours are really vibrant. I agree with Glenn, the composition is really interesting. I know you would’ve preferred to nail the focus more. But in the chaos and spur of the moment sometimes this happens and we don’t notice until the moment has passed. Nice work

    It's a common problem with new recipes.  They often look good but don't satisfy in the end.   This certainly isn't the problem with your photo.  The composition is nice and it is cropped to focus on the stars of the meal, shrimp, capers and lemons.  I like this photo a lot and it's a credit to your skill that your were able to pull it off in the middle of the chaos.
