“ Beautiful Horror ”

The brushfires this week in southern California arrived with the season. In this photo, the Airport fire in the foothills of the Santa Ana Mountains burns at the summit of Santiago Peak, sending a mushroom cloud of black smoke into that blue sky. Everyone wants a photo.
