“ The Cradle ”

This is the Peace Lily in my study, its once pure white flower withered in our recent heat wave but it amazed me how when you peeled back the shriveled petal, it was cradling the stamen as if it was protecting it.
The image was converted to black and white, minor edits to exposure in LR ...
