The strong noon sun shines through steel rails and wooden ties, throwing crisscrossed shadows onto iron beams which have carried trains over cars for generations.

I love this...the soft yellow is so pleasing to the eye, and all those little light spots makes you want to explore everything. I like that you filled the frame.

When I was last in Chicago I spent a bit of time photographing the underside of L train beams. They have have a wonderful mix of hard, straight lines and soft curves… more
