    i think a bit more of an edit could have added to this, feel there is good bones of a image there. I would be tempted to flip 180, the other way up and crop the additional bits of stem top and bottom for a more striking simple image. I think you are too hard on yourself as the pink in the flower and blue of the sky are beautifully contrasting.

    Love the contrast and colors! the only thing I would do is clean up the leaf on the very bottom all by itself.
