“ Friend for Life ”

She is the one who reminds me that the details and texture of everyday life cannot be overlooked or taken for granted. She is the friend I chose as family a very long time ago, and is by far the most thoughtful human I know.

Christine I was looking through your photos for the year so far and I had to comment on this one! I love the photo, your use of shadow throughout but especially on your friends face gives a feeling of mystery to it that would have been lost in colour. Also the words you use to describe your friend are just beautiful That she is your “chosen family” and the one that reminds you not take any detail of life for granted … things that we all need reminding now and then! She sounds like a wonderful human being and friend but then so do you! You don’t get friends like that without being one yourself … A truly beautiful and genuine portrait.
