BTS: Let me just say at this point there was a fair degree of "negotiation" involved in taking Tux's portrait. He wouldn't have a bar of sitting on a draped backdrop of black velvet - getting in behind and under it for a swift kill was more to his liking. The prop chair was plan B - I knew he'd go for it because he likes a position of power and a chair elevates his stature. He would have tolerated sitting there for as long as I liked - watching me contort and squirm as I tried various angles. There's a soft box to my left, a little higher than tux to get those catch-lights in his eyes and a black velvet backdrop behind the chair to absorb stray light. The look of derision is for real. I've tried all the School of Life advice (YouTube it) to no avail - but I still love him.

This made me laugh Peter having owned and black and white cat many years ago who seemed to share the same personality as Tux! Great shot and attitude on his face!
