“ A Solid State Puddle ”

Normally this would be a puddle on the shores of Lake Winnebago. At 16 degrees F it's still a puddle, but in a solid state, not liquid. This was taken the day before the opening season of Sturgeon spearing on the lake. At 18 to 20 inches thick, the lake supports trucks, cars and fishing ...
