“ "Knock for Fairies" ”
The Puriri tree in our backyard attracts a lot of different birdlife. Apparently, some other locals have moved in. I'm ASSUMING they're Patupaiarehe, rather than colonial British fairies.

Shot with my 14mm lens not QUITE wide open, and I love it the effect.

A bunch of these fairy doors appeared in my area during covid, and it wasn't until after I submitted my photo last week that I thought about them. I'm glad to see somebody else had this idea! Great use of the wide angle lens to create a sense of scale with the tree.
