If negative space can evoke isolation or alienation, then the effect is doubled by both people looking at their phones rather than where they're going. I was looking for a blank wall to capture someone in front of, but had more luck at this location. Not sure if the background needs to be devoid ...

    I think it works if it doesn’t detract from the focus of the shot which in this is the two people on their phones. I was drawn to the people so I therefore it works for me although purists might say it would better if there weren’t any windows… I like that you’ve captured them both looking at their phones.. such a ‘normal’ sight now.
