    The reflections in the upper part of the bowl, just below the grapes, are particularly captivating! I cannot decide for myself if I like the small imperfections (slightly off centre; the mismatched join of the placemats on the left). Do they add "meaning" or are they merely "sloppy" setup? I wonder if you had emphasized them more if that would be okay or worse.

    Eric, the imperfections in the placemat squares, with streaks of white or black intruding into the opposing squares adds to this image. There are a lot of things going on in the distorted reflections resulting from the curved surface. And the bluish highlights are also a nice touch.
