Eric, I like the pose, the expression, the crisp focus and the B&W a lot. The glow around the edge of the face, however, takes away from the overall impact of the shot. I'm not sure what post processing program you use, but the subject selection tool ought to have been able to delineate the face quite cleanly in such a sharp shot.
