“ Isolated focus on bud, using Aperture F 1.4 ”
My 50 mm lens is my fastest lens at F 1.4
Focus at that aperture is troublesome at best, but a slight wind added to the challenge.
Shutter speed 2000 to help nail the shot.
F 1.4 for maximum Blur in BG and FG

I really like this, the mixture of movements and still work very nicely. The colours are beautiful.

I admire you for undertaking this challenging photograph.  The image is appealing despite the blur but I keep wanting the wind to die down.

I like the blur mixed with the sharpness. It conveys wind and movement.

I'm glad to see you don't always insist on tack sharp front to back?… more

I'm glad to see you don't always insist on tack sharp front to back?
I like the sharp focus on a few of the buds, especially on the one just opening. The two highlight in the back do draw my eye away, though; perhaps the hue could be muted?
