“ Water everywhere! ”
Since we are at our cottage on Cape Cod there is no way I could think of any other image than one highlighting the beautiful salt, brackish or freshwater streams, ponds or our Atlantic Bay or Ocean. The photo I have chosen to post appeals to me because of the color and the composition. I took it ...

    My poem: water

Under the blue skies of our planet
Fresh and salt waters express their content.
    As rivers reach the oceans
Like an embrace that confirms their global intent:
Water the essence of planetary life.

    There in the oceanic depths
    Quietly a vibrant life exists
Where fish scales, fins and tails shine,
reflect the complexity of non and sentient existence.
Echoes of the persistence of constant evolution.
From the largest whales to the smallest living organisms
Oceans are the foundation for even the most complex mechanisms.
Water the essence of planetary life.

And there above in the sky
Clouds are born from the breath of the seas.
Those fluffy dynamic formations , promising storms and rains.
Pushed by the winds reaching all of earth’s shores
The earth awaits that the drops will awaken the spores.
Water the essence of planetary life.

Oh when the rain falls, the earth feels its gentle caress and kiss.
And when the rain and weather is fierce, nature’s passion is expressed.
Either way the roots below and fields above awaken.
Each drop greeted like a whisper , a hug or a caress.
Even when pushed by angry winds, thunder and lightning
Nature is reminded of this sacred connection.
Water the essence of planetary life.

Our green planet breaths and sings,
    Forests whisper, rivers laugh
    While the mountains and valleys
    Record all of natures stories.
Water the essence of planetary life.

    Our planet’s health, a reflection
Of the fresh waters that run and nourish
Of the oceans that keep watch and protect
The eternal cycle of life’s dance.
Water the essence of planetary life.

Each and every wave, each and every cloud
Remind you and me of our responsibility
    To care for and protect
Our waters and our blue and green abode.
The fountain of all things alive today, tomorrow…forever.
Water the essence of planetary life.

I love the colours of the shot and the reflections; I probably would have tried to have the end of the dock/jetty visable with some water around it. I feel like it's a bit cut of on the left. Your alternate is very atmospheric - how did that one look in colour?
