“ Canoeing on The Charles ”
Blue Hour this time of the year is “rather inconvenient “ if I take into account our daily routines. But this did not stop Judi and I from going out every night this week in search of a fun shot. This one is my favorite but I’ll pin below my two runner up’s. I really liked the crescent moon ...

This week’s poem is here! Enjoy 😊.                                    blue hour

During that magical autumnal Blue Hour
As the celestial colors of the sunken sun fade,
The faint silhouette of a crescent moon
Heralds the arrival of candle lit canoes
With old and young by the gentle waves soothed.

The colors of Fall paint the wind
With golden, ocher and reds interspersed
As the leafs fall from their trees like a budding thought
Whispering in the air verses without reverses.

The mild breeze caressing our skin
Like another whisper inviting us to dream.
Each heart beat like a fresh awakening
Dreams of love begin to seed.

This calm moment where the time we forget
Behind that crescent moon the blue sky fades away
Our soul wakes up, life is felt
Love reigns eternal heaven and earth melt.

During each Blue Hour the heaven sighs
A veil of calm the evening envelops
As the sun sets, cobalt blue begins its short reign
While the soft light in your eyes burns.

Pushed by the river’s current the canoe slides along
Over the translucent waters reaching an island called Oblong.
Each wave feels like a gentle breath, a furtive look
Each instance becomes like a poem out of a story book.

The world is slowing down, it’s more like my own
With your hands in mine the the light reflections moved by the water dance.
There in Oblong a refuge like a brief dream
Nurtured by the water’s soft sounds as they bounce back and forth around the rocky bend,
This magical moment must never end.

Charles River looking south-east.  I had forgotten my tripod so there is ICM. I liked the tiny light streaks that resulted from the ICM.
