I was downtown with a friend this week and I caught a quik shot of this plane flying over. Because I was shooting buildings downtown I had my short lens 18 - 140mm, I certainly would have prefered my 600mm for this job. I tried a number of different approaches to the final work and I deceided ...

Abe, I like the blank grey surrounding the plane. But the lack of crispness, while it accentuates the distance between you and the plane, doesn't provide the connection… more

Abe, I like the blank grey surrounding the plane. But the lack of crispness, while it accentuates the distance between you and the plane, doesn't provide the connection to the viewer that I think would be best. B&W is a good choice as it gets rid of a distraction from your subject, however.
