“ Desert Puddle ”
I always like to go out and shoot reflections in the desert puddles after it rains. I had some ideas when going out this time for some rule breaking (mostly in terms of the edits after). I have to confess that this one did not require any rule breaking edits; I skewed the horizon accidentally ...

I just love how you put that cloud from the sky into the puddle!

First off, the photo doesn't look sharp. I know this is low-res, so you'll have to check the full-res file. (And did you focus stack? This photo requires crazy depth of field.) I think you should brighten it up, the mid ground has a lot of details that are lost in it. Finally, with the color in this image, I would have loved if you had brightened up the greens and pulled a little bit of purple into the clouds for a complementary color scheme.

I know other people don't like your horizon, but I think it works and makes the leading line in your puddle better than it would have been if your horizon was straight. I think it's great that you were able to catch the brighter clouds in the puddle, it gives a strength to your foreground.

I don't love the tilted horizon, but I almost never find a way to appreciate that artistic perspective. However, I do love the leading line in the puddle! Personally, I probably would have utilized this theme better by cropping out the top third of the photo and straightening, while softening the horizon.
