    * The Stolpersteine Project was started by artist Gunter Demnig in 1995 in Cologne. Since 2002 in Hamburg. “Stolperstein” literally translates as "stumbling stone”; something to make us stop and look. They are small brass squares set as memorials into the pavement in front of houses, where Jewish people used to live before losing their lives during the horrors of Nazi Germany. They remind us never to forget. Here is a picture of Clara Lehmann and her Stolperstein. (Foto credit The Stolperstein project)

    For the challenge I thought the angle of the photograph would, on the one hand be characteristic of a child’s perspective but also be the perspective of someone kneeling to read the inscription of the Stolperstein.
    P.S. The gate was open.
