    That rust gives this a nice lift, and the shell gives double impact to the 'dark' side. Just a perfect highlight on the neck.

    Leaving it in color was the right choice, it adds visual interest and draws you in for a closer look.

    I definitely like it that you used the colored version. The composition definitely creates interest. The lighting is very subtle but works perfectly with the subject.
