I was having trouble with a subject this week when my dog barked at the front window and I saw these blooming out front. I clipped them and since I was limiting myself to 12 shots on roll of film I went with something I know how to do. Ended up with about 3 shots out of 12 that were ok and ...

    Lovely image, Dan - I really like the lighting, and especially the b/w treatment, which adds mood (and a bit of melancholy?) to the image. I wonder what the shot would look like with a little bit more DoF - say a couple of stops to keep the middle of the white rose in focus? Anyway, it's a really nice image - well done.

    I really like the choice of black and white processing. It works so nicely with the sharp contrast and DOF.
