“ A Rose by any other name ”
Went for a walk outside today and found this little guy soaking up the sun. Changed it to black and white and cropped it down a little on the sides. Unlike most of the photos I do I toned down the contrast a little as this seemed to soften up the petals a little.

    I'm always a sucker for a rose photo, and love the texture of the petals in this BW shot. I think the drop in contrast has worked well with this.

    Nice side cropping. I wish the base of the rose were in the picture, though. I think you caught the texture of the rose well.
