“ Look to the Cross ”

A cross I purchased in Israel. It has speial meaning to me so Photographed it on
Easter, in celebration of this special day.

Cool cross! But I have to agree that the detailed background detracts, not from the cross, but from the mood of what I think the minimalism challenge is. There is such a story in the cross and in its texture and markings that the texture of the background distracts me from. Less shadow and a plain background would have left my attention only on the innate beauty of the gorgeous cross. I just want to hold it and feel its smooth surface, so again the textured background is opposed to this tactile impression.
