“ Sunflower ”
I'd avoided harvesting this beauty for the longest time because it was concealing a rather large wasp nest. With Autumn arriving, the wasps finally vacated their nest, and I was able to grab the flowerhead for the chooks, but not before snapping a photo of its beautiful seed rows.

    How unusual! I'm used to sunflower seeds growing in a spiral but these look like they are in perfectly straight lines. They almost look like tiny eyes staring up into the sky. I'm glad you waited until the wasp nest left. No need to take any chances around those vicious critters!
