“ Africa Tree ”
A subject that I have used before. This tree stands in splendid isolation in open countryside. This is the first time that I have used HDR to balance the exposure.

    IMO, the foliage in the tree is still a bit dark, but I like everything else about the image.  Nice strong subject and nice layering of the near dirt, the middle dirt, the tree line, and the sky.  I like how the tree leans into the image a little.  I might try a version with a little more sky above the tree, but I'm not sure if that would help or hurt (I'd still want to look at it).  Overall, a strong image.
