“ Rutland Water ”
Rutland Water is an artificial reservoir created about 60 years ago by flooding a valley. There are walks round the perimeter. This large puddle reflects a stand of trees; the reservoir is in the background. Taken on a rare light day in this grey, English winter.

Kind of a neat puddle.  I like the greens and blues with a touch of rust on the trees.  Great textures in the grass.  My only real issue is the trees/reflections.  They are kind of the stars of the image, but both are kind of chopped off.  I'm not entirely sure how I'd fix that, but maybe shoot lengthwise down the puddle rather than across it?  Really a great location though.  I bet there are a lot of good compositions there.

Well composed scene, Nick.  You captured the depth of the reflection including the blue sky.

Beautiful puddle and reflections. I like the way the puddle acts as a leading line to the reservoir. Gorgeous winter’s day with great, natural lighting.
