    I love textures too. You captured this one very well and there is a nice DOF too. Maybe you could have opened up the aperture a bit more to blur more of the surroundings.

    I love the textures in the bark.  Nice lighting on the tree and I like the natural leading lines.  You have some deep blacks, but it looks like you could have… more

    I love the textures in the bark.  Nice lighting on the tree and I like the natural leading lines.  You have some deep blacks, but it looks like you could have stretched the lights a little more because I don't see any true white.  Although I like the use of depth of field, I think I would have liked a little more so you got sharp focus all the way up to the "rim" of the crater.
