“ Waiting for Spring ”

Rust adorns its massive blade. You can smell the gear oil. Farmer Joe uses the bulldozer to mix the farm's compost pile every spring. It sits as a sentinel near the barn on the back field of the farm, awaiting duty in the spring. It is old, loved, and used but not forgotten.
