“ Brushstrokes ”

This week’s challenge lends itself to my typical nature photos, but I wanted to challenge myself to do something different. This is a closeup of a painting that my uncle did when he was 18 (60 years ago!) and I’ve never studied this painting so closely! It was so fascinating to see the brush ...

I find it hard to see how an artist can apply so many seemingly random brush strokes and end up with a recognisable image. You’ve picked out an interesting part of the painting with lots of texture, colour and the all important detail. Well done for going for something different.
