“ Dahlia with bud ”

Inspired by the beautiful flower photographs that Irving Penn created later in his career (I only recently discovered them - amazing!) this was another excuse to practice with my macro lens. Shot with a continuous light and reflector. Focus stacked in Helicon Focus and edited in Lightroom/Photoshop.

Andrea this is beautiful. It has a fine art look and feel about it. Looks like the kind of image you would see in a botanical illustration book. Amazing!
