Before I read your words, I was going to say what a fantastic shot. Love the doF and the bW edit. The POV is great as well. Also there is a feeling in this image and great light! I will now add, How sorry I am. It is hard as a mother to step back and allow the things to happen. when our kisses don't fix the boo boo it is hard to accept it and sit with it. Melissa, your love and heartache are very apparent.  It might not mean much right now, but I've learned that taking time to deliberately find gratitude in the worst situations can be soothing to heartache.  My 11yr old has had severe asthma since he was 2, and my 15yr old was diagnosed with POTS (a chronic illness), so I can begin to commiserate on that hopeless feeling.   For me - Grateful to have each other, Grateful for modern medicine, Grateful for 52frames for keeping us together and giving us this community, Grateful for you sharing this vulnerable moment.    The photo was emotive before I knew the meaning.  Now that I know, it is beautiful.    💙   PS - in case you had not heard of it, deep intentional breathing is a free tool you can use at any time you feel overwhelmed by big emotions that is scientifically proven to kickstart positive brain chemicals when done right.     Sending strength. 💙
