“ Standing out ”

This beauty was lying on the ground amid a carpet of brown dead leaves.

I like the simplicity if the composition, the rich textures and the contrast between the velvety earthy colours and the fiery red and orange.

This is an opportunistic photo: this leaf was just begging ...
