    Angela, this is excellent food! You could try longer exposure times by using a tripod too. I believe for just lighting a small Still Life, probably a simple bulb light or lamp with warm led or better incandescent light would do the job. Some lamps have dimmer too or you can place a paper sheet in front to dim the light intensity. Even a round foldable light diffuser -gold or silver panel- (see my BTS, you can find it online for few bocks) can help as well as a mirror directing the light to the subject. If you try those rudimental tools, then you can better evaluate what you really need in addition or, at least, this is my opinion :-)

    I do like the lines of the spaghetti and the shadows in this picture. The splash of red with the tomatoes adds the color.  This was a creative idea. I am a newbie… more
