“ 1399 door canopy ”

I discovered this canopy above a door in the old city several years ago. It was faded and peeling. It has now been revived and the colours are vibrant. It is above the door of the old Merchant Tailors’ Guild and includes the head of John the Baptist. Not many people know of it as it is down a ...

So interesting and begs the questions of why John the Baptist was included in the Merchant Tailors' Guild canopy. He wore animals skins. Hmmm. Interesting shot.
